DESCRIPTION:The Spring Getaway: Hyerim Lee Piano Recital\n \nWednesday, May 14th, 7PM \nFree Admission\n \nGuest Artist: Deokhwan Kim\n \n\nBorn in South Korea, Dr. Hyerim Lee is an accomplished pianist and pedagogue based in Michigan. She is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions including the OSAKA International Piano Competition, the Ettlingen International Piano Competition, MTNA Young Artist Piano Competition, and American Protégé International Piano Competition. In 2024, she won the 1st Prize at Marquette Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Hyerim has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and Hill Auditorium, and actively engaged with audiences across Michigan through her concerts, including a lecture recital at Grand Valley State University where she also gave a masterclass. Her international performance includes the International Piano Festival of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the Sicily International Piano Festival in Italy, and the Campillos Piano Marathon in Spain. In 2024, she presented a successful solo recital as an artist-in-residence at Porto Pianofest in Portugal. In the same year, she performed R. Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and presented her solo recital tour in Seattle, Vancouver, and Cincinnati. This year, she performed with the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, presented a solo recital, and gave a masterclass at Northern Michigan University.
