This year’s festival offers a joyful afternoon filled with art, tradition, and hands-on experiences for all ages.\n\nEvent Highlights:\n1:30 PM – Registration & Opening Performance\nKick off the celebration with the dynamic rhythms of Gilnori, a traditional Korean folk music that brings energy and excitement to any gathering.\n2:00 PM – Special Lecture: “A Glimpse into Korean Ceramics: Tracing History through Contemporary Artworks”\nHyonjeong “HJ” Kim Han is the department head and Joseph deHeer curator of Arts of Asia at the Denver Art Museum (DAM). A specialist in Korean and Chinese painting histories, Han was previously department head and associate curator of Korean art at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco (2010-2021).\n2:30 PM – Moon Jar Making Demonstration\nWatch a live demonstration by Lee Dong Sik, a renowned Korean ceramic artist whose iconic moon jars are featured in major museums around the world.\n3:30 PM – Family Crafts & Cultural Activities\nParticipate in hands-on moon jar painting, take part in gallery and museum tours, and enjoy fun indoor games for all ages. Light refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon.\n4:00 PM – Grand Finale: Gang-gang-sul-rae\nJoin us in a traditional Gang-gang-sul-rae circle dance, a joyful and symbolic conclusion to the day’s celebration.\nCelebrate.
