BISCO Performing Arts Series
Chicago Korean Dance Company Performance
The inaugural performance of the BISCO Performing Arts Series 2026 at the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCoC) will open with Dance, Crossing Time, presented by the Chicago Korean Dance Company (CKDC). Through its Spring 2025 open call, the KCCoC selected outstanding works that provide artists with a platform for free creative expression while invigorating the performance culture at BISCO Hall.
In this performance, the CKDC revisits highlights from its repertoire through the lens of Korean traditional dance and contemporary reinterpretation, offering audiences an original and innovative cultural experience that transcends conventional boundaries. Artistic Director Aedeok Lee remarked, “The dance we perform here today may, when looked back upon in the near or distant future, become tradition itself. This performance pairs classical works by trained specialists with newly created pieces reinterpreted by CKDC, accompanied by live commentary to deepen understanding and appreciation among audiences.”
