The Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCOC) successfully held a Children’s Day celebration at the BISCO Hall, a multipurpose cultural space, on May 3rd. Over 350 people attended, including around 150 children and their guardians.
One of the key programs was a K-Pop competition for children aged 12 and under, where the lively and adorable performances from the children received enthusiastic applause.
Other activities at the event included a “Green Nature” art station with a theme of trees, crafts by GABE Plus, flower planting with the Chicago Farmers Group, children’s consent education by KANWIN, a Korean map challenge run by the Junior Ambassadors of the Cultural Center, traditional Korean games, hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) experience, face painting, and a snack station. Each station was met with great success. The event was sponsored by the Chicago Korean Education Center and the Korea Tourism Organization.
